Neil deGrasse Tyson’s YouTube Channel

March 21st, 2018 No comments

Neil deGrasse Tyson, an astrophysicist in the media, is a director of a YouTube channel called StarTalk. What I like about his talks of scientific topics is the way he explains scientific ideas in a simple way that everyone understand but also citizen-science would find it very useful.

Problem Pronouncing 'R'

December 4th, 2007 No comments

Lately, I have been talking a lot. That’s not the normal me, usually my relatives (especially my parents) are complaining about me not talking with them or discussing anything. The reason I start talking more is because a good friend moved his desk to a lab I spend many hours a day sometimes there and it is really awkward not to chat to him from time to time. Another reason is because I’m being a part of a student society in my college and they like to ask me some stuff about computers.

Anyway, that wasn’t my point. I have a problem pronouncing the letter ‘R’ which is called lisp! I knew I had this problem since I was a kid, but I never thought about it much because I’m not used to talk much. However, now I’m a part of a society and I’m really shy to talk to anyone and I couldn’t manage to fix my lisp. I have been trying to pronounce my last name (ends with R, lol) many times but I can’t manage to get it right in English and Arabic (there is an Arabic letter close to R). I had a problem with people sometimes when giving my last name lol. I searched the web but I couldn’t find anything helpful to cure my lisp.

If anyone got any resources available online or how to overcome this problem please let me know :).

Video: Tired Of Traffic? New DOT Report Urges Drivers: Honk

October 14th, 2007 No comments

Tired of rush hour traffic? Are you wasting your time going to work and coming back home? I personally hate traffic and I try my best avoiding them. Sometimes I leave home 1.5hours before lecture starts, although it only takes 15min to get to college when there is no traffic. Traffic is a big problem for many cities around the globe. BUT there is a solution! USE YOUR HORN!
