Design Question

July 14th, 2007 No comments

Andy Rutledge wrote about what question we should ask clients before designing a website. “Initial direct contact with clients during the discovery meeting is likely the most important moment in the life of a project”.

It is a great article, a must read article for web designers!

Flex 3 New Charting Documentation

July 14th, 2007 No comments

Adobe Flex Doc Team released the Flex 3 Charting Documentation.

The entire set of charting chapters is included here in one PDF because the organization has changed so much. I added a new chapter and consolidated some sections from other chapters.

New sections:
CHAPTER: Displaying Data and Labels
“Using data labels”
“Using per-item fills”
“Omitting days on a DateTimeAxis” (aka, work-week axis)

July 14th, 2007 No comments

The web is packed with many content management systems (CMS). Sometimes it’s difficult to choose a good one because you haven’t tried any yet or maybe because you don’t have time to choose one. iPhone Environmental requirements

July 12th, 2007 No comments

I was reading iPhone environmental requirements since I was “somehow” interested in getting one. What bugs me is that iPhone Environmental Operating temperature: 32° to 95° F (0° to 35° C) is not good for our climate. Temperature here in Kuwait can hit over 50°C (shade). Yesterday was 45°C when I checked. If I’m not mistaken, it can reach 80° C when not under shades (It’s what I remember from a high school class).

I guess I’ll just have to wait for it to release here and see what happens rather than purchasing it over the web. Maybe some modification will be made to meet the temperature here.
